The <strong>denial rates<\/strong> for these organizations also were fundamentally lower. Averaging at <strong>1-5% <\/strong>as against the last few years when it was more than <strong>20% <\/strong>for IT services firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>3 Indian IT cos among top 5 recipients of H-1B visas in FY21<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The<strong> denial rates<\/strong> across organizations were also more uniform as against the last few years. When they were a lot higher for<strong> Indian services <\/strong>organizations when compared with <strong>US tech firms <\/strong>like Google and Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of <strong>approved visas<\/strong> was probably going to be inflated. Because of processing issues and litigation, which had brought about <strong>petitions <\/strong>filed in FY20 being adjudicated in <strong>FY21<\/strong>. There were roughly<strong> 18,000 <\/strong>more approved petitions in FY21 compared with FY20. Perhaps because of USCIS <strong>processing issues<\/strong> brought about by the pandemic and expanded denials in 2020. It was much lower than the<strong> 12% denial rate<\/strong> in FY18 and FY19.
