A US presidential commission<\/strong> has suggested including aged-out kids in the Green Card application<\/strong> of their parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the Biden government<\/strong> approves this move, it is anticipated that the risk of self-deportation for more than 2,00,000 children<\/strong>, the vast majority of whom are Indian Americans<\/strong>, will be eliminated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President’s Commission recommended that USCIS <\/strong>take several steps to address children who age out of their eligibility <\/strong>to be included in their parent’s Green Card application and lose their legal statu<\/strong>s at the age of 21 in response to the action taken by Indian American community leader Ajay Jain Bhutoria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commission suggested that USCIS develop a program <\/strong>that would enable aging young people. To automatically switch to another nonimmigrant visa status<\/strong>, allowing them to live, work, and submit Green Card applications in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also suggested that USCIS make changes to its rules about how dependents of primary visa holders<\/strong>.
