He asserts that this issue can be addressed if President Joe Biden<\/strong> issues an executive order to extend the grace period granted to them from sixty days <\/strong>to six months.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means that a foreign tech worker on an H-1B visa <\/strong>would have six months instead of the current 60 days to find a new job<\/strong>, after which they would have to leave the country<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPresident Biden could issue an executive order<\/strong> that increases the time that H-1B techies<\/strong> who have lost their jobs have been out of work from 60 days to six months. <\/strong>Give them a break and give them time to look for a new job. Job loss a misery for H-1B techies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Over 200,000 <\/strong>people have been fired by major tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon<\/strong>, and Facebook since November, according to The Washington Post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
