Today, the U.S. Department of State (DOS) published the June 2021 Visa Bulletin<\/strong>. All cutoff dates listed refer to the dates in the final action chart (i.e., Chart A) except if in any case specified. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS<\/strong>) has not shown yet whether stakeholders will actually want to utilize the dates for the filings chart (i.e., Chart B) in June for purposes of applying for adjustment of status<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impact of President Biden\u2019s decision to rescind the immigrant visa ban<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Despite President Joe Biden’s 24th February 2021 <\/strong>order to repeal the Trump-era proclamation that suspended certain immigrant entries<\/strong>, visa application backlogs combined with reduced consular tasks because of COVID-19 <\/strong>public health measures will continue to limit the issuance of immigrant visas <\/strong>by U.S. consulates abroad. Immigrant visa (IV) candidates who are no longer subject to the immigrant ban<\/strong> may see their cases push ahead, but should expect delays as consulates continue to phase in routine services and work through backlogs<\/strong>. Those recently denied under the IV ban should await further instruction from the U.S. consulate<\/strong> that handled their application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June 2021 Visa Bulletin Summary<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As per the State Department\u2019s June Visa Bulletin 2021<\/strong>, final action cutoff dates for the issuance of an immigrant visa <\/strong>will be as per the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employment-Based, First Preference (EB1) Category<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The EB1 category remains current for all countries of chargeability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employment-Based, Second Preference (EB2) Category<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The cutoff date for EB2 India advances to 1st December 2010<\/strong>. EB2 China moves up to 1st May 2017.<\/strong> The EB2 category stays current for any remaining nations of chargeability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employment-Based, Third Preference (EB3) Category<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

EB3 India catapults ahead to 1st November 2011<\/strong>. EB3 China’s cutoff date advances to 1st September 2018. The EB3<\/strong> category stays current for any remaining nations of chargeability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EB3 Other Workers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Except for China, the cutoff dates for EB3 other workers <\/strong>are the same for every country as its particular EB3 cutoff dates. For China, the cutoff date for EB3 different workers moves to 1st October 2009<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employment-Based, Fourth Preference (EB4) Category<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The cutoff date for EB4 Mexico advances to 1st November 2019.<\/strong> The EB4 cutoff date for El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras pushes forward to 1st November 2018<\/strong>. This category stays current for any remaining nations of chargeability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employment-Based, Fifth Preference (EB5) Category<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
