Where it expressed that it was updating its policies regarding <strong>expedited processing<\/strong> of applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally changing the guidance regarding Requests for Evidence (<strong>RFEs<\/strong>) and Notices of Intent to Deny (<strong>NOIDs<\/strong>), and increasing the validity period for certain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>H-1B Visa Rejection Rate Increases by 28%; Only 45% Applications Selected<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, the USCIS was inviting the applications for <strong>H-1B visa applications<\/strong> for the financial year 2022. More than<strong> 3 lakh applications<\/strong> have been submitted yet a couple of them have been chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>H-1B cap registration<\/strong> has received <strong>3.08 lakh <\/strong>registrations for the financial year 2022. This is a <strong>12%<\/strong> increase from last year&#8217;s filing. However, the USCIS has chosen <strong>87,500<\/strong> registrations just in the lotteries that meet the yearly quotas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, there has been a decline in the selection rate of the H-1B visa. This decline has expanded by<strong> 28%<\/strong> as compared to last year. Moreover, there were <strong>274,237<\/strong> total registrations, of which, only <strong>45%<\/strong> of the applications, i.e., <strong>12,415 <\/strong>registrations were chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>H1B Rejection Rate Increases Despite US Government\u2019s New Rules?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, there was news that the <strong>Biden government<\/strong> is willing to reconsider the objections or adverse decisions to foreign workers on visas like <strong>H-1B<\/strong> as informed by US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Friday. This was because of the three <strong>policy memos<\/strong> by the past Trump govt which currently have been revoked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move is expected to give relief to a large number of <strong>Indian IT professionals<\/strong>. To restrict the scope of \u201c<strong>specialty occupation<\/strong>\u201d under the <strong>H-1B visa regime<\/strong> has been removed by the US government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move is very positive for <strong>Indian IT organizations<\/strong>, which are among the most frequent clients of such visas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, <strong>USCIS <\/strong>replaces the removed, rejected, denied, or revoked applications by choosing more applicants.
