USCIS Releases Details on FY24 H1B Cap and Electronic Registration System

FY 2024 H-1B Registrations: According to a notice issued by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the initial registration period for the fiscal year 2024 H-1B cap will start at noon Eastern Time (ET) on 1st March 2023 and run through noon Eastern on 17th March 2023. Utilizing our online H-1B registration system, prospective petitioners and representatives will be able to complete and submit their registrations during this period.
For the FY 2024 H-1B cap, USCIS will assign a confirmation number to each submitted registration. This number is solely utilized for registration tracking; This number cannot be used to monitor your case status in Case Status Online.

Petitioners will be required to pay a fee of $10 for this initial registration. We will randomly select registrations and notify users via their myUSCIS online accounts if we receive sufficient registrations by March 17th, 2023. If we do not receive sufficient registrations, all registrations that were submitted correctly during the initial registration period will be selected. According to a press release issued by the immigration agency, “We intend to notify account holders by 31st March 2023“. On February 21st, prospective petitioners can create new accounts, which are necessary for the application.
